When I was a kid, once a year, my folks took my brothers and I to Disneyland. I vividly remember not sleeping the night before in anticipation of spending the day at the “Happiest Place On Earth”. Thank goodness they didn’t have seatbelts back then - otherwise, I couldn’t crane my neck out the car window like a dog waiting for the tip of the Matterhorn to appear on the last stretch of the Santa Ana freeway. This tour elicits some of those same feelings as it edges closer. I’m extremely excited and incredibly grateful. Of all the many things I’m grateful for, the support I receive from my lovely wife LaVonne tops the list. One of the pillars of our relationship is our commitment to helping each other to be the best individuals we can be. We know that whatever fulfillment comes from growing as individuals comes back to the relationship tenfold. I just wish I could figure a way to have someone deliver coffee to her bedside every morning… and maybe take the trash out as they leave…
